My Story

I am embarking on an 8-week journey from Tianjin-Beijing (China) to Caen (France) – over 12,000 km, with at least half of this on hand cycles. I am trying to riase $12,000 (that’s $1 per km) will will purchase a range of adaptive cycles to support Royal Rehab and their Return2Sport Cycling Program.

Our route crosses China, Mongolia, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium and finally France, and is sure to be challenging, yet, inspiring with the new terrain, climate and cultures encountered.

I have chosen to raise money for Royal Rehab’s Return2Sport initiative as they share my goal that no matter what the circumstances are, it is most important to fulfill your dreams and to show that difference is not an obstacle in making sports and adventure accessible to all.

Return2Sport is an initiative of Royal Rehab promoting participation and engagement in active sport and recreation for people with a disability as independently as possible.

We’re hoping to raise $12,000 to purchase 3 brand new Invacare Top End hand-cycles for Return2Sport’s new Community Cycling HUB in Western Sydney. The HUB provides easy access to adaptive cycles as well as support to assist anyone to cycle, no matter what thier abilites are.

It proves to be a challenging journey so please show your support by donating today!

*Please note that my journey is is all self-funded with the support from Mogo Wheelchairs and Invacare Australia. All money raised will directly support the Return2Sport initiative and not costs associated with this challenge.
